NBA Finals - Cebuanos catch Finals fever in Miami
By Homer D. Sayson PhilBoxing.com Fri, 13 Jun 2014

MIAMI -- Tickets to today's Game 4 of the 2014 NBA Finals can be had. But it would cost an arm and a leg.
According to a local TV station, the cheapest seats at the 400 level way up in the bleachers section cost $400 while premium courtside seats got for at least $15,000 each. Upper bowl seats are pegged at $500 a pop while lower bowl seats go for $2000.
Even with those hefty price tags, Game 4 is expected to be another sold-out affair, just like Game 3 where SRO (standing room only) spots were sold like pancakes for $200 per.
These Finals have been a magnet for celebrities, especially here in Miami, a laid back enclave known for its swanky parties at nearby South Beach. Among those in attendance in Game 3 included rapper Rick Ross and boxers Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather, who sat next to the Heat bench.
Cebuano couple Neil and Diamond Capangpangan don't have tickets for Game 4, so they did the next best thing. They went outside the American Airlines Arena to pose for posterity.
Neil is from Urgello street by way of Bogo while his lovely bride Diamond is originally from Bato, Southern Leyte. "That's why we were all named after gems, " she told PhilBoxing.com.
"I love the Spurs," chimed Neal, who now lives in Atlanta with Diamond and their three children -- Isaiah, Georgio and Diana. They were all visiting from Florida's Key West before deciding to swing by the bayside arena.
Game 4 tips-off at 9 pm (9 AM Friday in Manila) with the Spurs holding a narrow 2-1 series lead following Game 3's impressive 111-92 rout.
Game 5 of the best-of-7 title series shifts back to the AT@T Center in San Antonio on Sunday night (Monday AM June 16 in Manila). (Homer D. Sayson)
