NBA Playoffs -- Wizards lead 3-1 after Game 4 blowout
By Homer D. Sayson PhilBoxing.com Mon, 28 Apr 2014

CHICAGO -- Without suspended big man Nene' the Washington Wizards raced to 17-2 start en route to an easy 98-89 Game 4 over the Chicago Bulls Sunday afternoon at the Verizon Center.
The debacle sent the Bulls crashing to a 3-1 deficit in their round-one best-of-7 Eastern Conference quarterfinals. The Wizards go for the clincher Tuesday night (Wednesday AM in Manila) when Game 5 returns to the United Center in Chicago.
Trevor Ariza was the man of the hour for Washington, drilling six 3-pointers for 30 points. Bradley Beal had 18 while Marcin Gortat manned the middle with 17 and 6 boards. John Wall was terrific at the point, finishing with 15 and 10 assists.
"I think we're a smart enough group to understand that when your pieces goes down, you have to find ways to win," Ariza, who won a ring with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2009, told NBA.com after the romp.
After an impressive Game 3 win, the Bulls were flat for Game 4. They shot just 35 of 78 form the field (44.9 percent) and missed 15 of their 19 threes (21.1 percent).
Taj Gibson exploded for 32 but he was the only Bull whose offense flourished. Jimmy Butler had 16 but made only 5-of-14 field goals while Joakim Noah recorded 10 and 15 rebounds. (Homer D. Sayson)
