NBA -- James sits as Heat take care of Bulls in Miami By Homer D. Sayson PhilBoxing.com Tue, 25 Feb 2014 ![]() CHICAGO -- With LeBron James sitting out Sunday's game due to a busted nose, beating the Miami Heat in their home building seemed like a very doable task. But the two-time defending champions proved to be a tough customer even without their best player, beating the Chicago Bulls, 93-79, at the American Airlines Arena. Chris Bosh registered 28 points and 10 boards and Dwyane Wade tallied 23 and seven helpers to end the Bulls' five-game win streak. Mario Chalmers also had 12 and nine assists while Ray Allen drilled 2 triples for a total of 10 and Miami improved to 40-14. On the strength of their punishing defense, which held the Heat to 37 of 88 field goals, the Bulls fought the Heat to a 40-40 standstill at the half. But the Bulls unraveled in the third quarter where they scored just 12 while Miami cranked up their offense and delivered 25. Turnovers also doomed the Bulls, especially their seven 24-second shot-clock violations. "We have some guys who aren't experienced. They're holding on to it when you got to get the ball up to the rim," a frustrated Bulls had coach Tom Thibodeau told NBA.com after his team fell to 29-26. Joakim Noah and Taj Gibson finished with 20 points apiece but the Bulls shot only 29 of 81 field goals (35.8 percent) and they missed 15 of 21 three-point bombs. Chicago out rebounded Miami, 51-41, but the Heat had more assists at 22 and five less turnovers with seven. (Homer D.
