MONTIEL, VILORIA TO MEET PHILIPPINE MEDIA ON SUNDAY PhilBoxing.com Thu, 15 Feb 2007 A press conference will be held on Sunday, Feb 18, at the Cebu City Marriott Hotel in Cebu Business Park starting at 12:00 noon. Attending the event will be WBO super flyweight champion Fernando “Cochulito” Montiel and WBC Latino super bantamweight titlist Feider Viloria together with SGG Sports Promotion president and international promoter Samson “Sammy” Gello-ani. Montiel will be accompanied by trainer-manager Manuel Montiel while Viloria will be joined in by trainer-coach Miguel Gonzales. While the press conference is ongoing, Indonesia’s WBO Asia Pacific super featherweight king Simson “The Terminator” Butar-Butar arrives from Jakarta with manager Jhonson Hutagaol and an unnamed trainer. The team flies from Manila at around 3 PM and are expected to step down at Mactan Cebu International Airport four and a quarter hours later. They will move directly to Rajah Park Hotel near the Fuente Osme?a Circle, which will host their stay in Cebu City for the “Moment of Truth” tri-World championship fight on Feb 24 at the Cebu City Sports Complex. Montiel fights WBO No. 1 super flyweight content Z “The Dream” Gorres in the main undercard for a mandatory defense of his WBO Super Flyweight crown. Also in the main undercard, Butar-Butar is waging a first-defense fist-war against Filipino challenger reigning Philippine super featherweight champion Jimrex “The Executioner” Jaca for his WBO Asia-Pacific super featherweight belt. In the main card, Viloria is slugging it out with WBO No. 1 super bantamweight titlist Rey “Boom-Boom” Bautista for the vacant WBO Youth super bantamweight and WBO Intercontinental super bantamweight titles. Boxing fans and patrons can buy tickets now at Bisaya Ispisyal (Ayala & SM), which recently joined in to make it easier for them to have access to the event’s tickets. Current ticket outlets include USA Sports (Ayala & SM), Island Souvenirs (Ayala & SM), Ala Boxing Gym (Banilad Town Center), ALAGC Executive Office (Nasipit, Talamban), Citickets (Waterfront-Lahug), EC/DC Electrical Supply (Manalili, Talisay & Lapu-lapu), Biz Depot (Capitol, SM & Ayala), Da Vinci’s Pizza (Osme?a Blvd., IT Park, Marina Park & Mandaue), all Ng Khai outlets, and all RD Pawnshop outlets.
