Marc "Gwapo" Pagcaliwangan Homecoming Fight and Weigh In Results for United Promotions Nov. 30 Fight Card By Rob Cruz PhilBoxing.com Sun, 01 Dec 2013 Mississauga, Canada - The same day official weigh-ins took place this morning at the Holiday Inn for tonight?s United Boxing Promotions fight card at the Mississauga Hershey Centre. Undefeated Filipino Canadian Marc ?Gwapo? Pagcaliwangan finally makes his hometown debut along local favorites and Canadian Titlists Brandon ?Bad Boy? Cook in the main event and Steve ?The Piranha? Wilcox in the co-feature fight. The fight card tonight that has been put together by United Boxing Promotions, Title Fight Promotions and Tyler Buxton Promotions that highlights some of the youngest and up and coming boxers in the Ontario Region. All the boxers fighting tonight are young and hungry lions ready to fight their hearts out and put on a great show. In his seventh fight since Pagcaliwangan turned pro just over a year ago, the 23 year old Toronto Born Filipino Pugilist?s dream finally comes true where he will fight at home in a United Boxing Promotions fight card for the very first time. ?Gwapo? is looking forward to demonstrate how he has transformed as a Pro Boxer in front of his family, friends and supporters. Pagcaliwangan 6W(6KO)-0L will be seeking his 7th victory against a seasoned Mexican Boxer Octavio Hernandez 13W(6KO)-5L(3KO) who has fought 18 fights and 70 rounds in total. Hernandez who is 24 years old has had a 9 fight win streak earlier in his career. The descent in weight to Super Bantamweight was an easy task for Marc Pagcaliwangan, his coach Ian MacKillop who previously trained at the famous Wild Card Gym and Filipino Canadian Coach who is originally from Malolos, Bulacan had nothing to worry about with their fighter clinching the contractual weight for the fight today. The Mexican opponent who hails from Destrito Federal looked fit, lively and durable during the weigh-in. Both Hernandez and Pagcaliwangan had nothing to say to each other. However they demonstrated mutual respect for one another which has always been Marc Pagcaliwangan?s gesture to his opponent each and every time. Tonight, Marc Pagcaliwangan will have former Canadian World Champion Steve ?The Canadian Kid? Molitor walk out with him as Canadian Flag bearer. Molitor has been supportive of Pagcaliwangan?s career since he turned pro and signed by his Manager Mark Erwin. A member of the Philippine Consulate bearing the Philippine Flag in acknowledgment to Pagcaliwangan?s heritage will also walk out with Team Gwapo tonight in representation of the many Filipinos that will be in attendance to see Pagacliwangan's homecoming fight. The two opponents in the co-feature, Christian Uruzquieta of Mexico and main event Luca Pasqua of Italy, appeared in excellent shape and condition. Steven Wilcox and Brandon Cook should be in for a good fight tonight.
