NBA -- Lin's 9 treys not enough against Sixers
By Homer D. Sayson PhilBoxing.com Fri, 15 Nov 2013

CHICAGO -- Houston Rockets guard Jeremy Lin played his best game of the season thus far, dishing 12 assists and scoring 34 points courtesy of a franchise high nine 3-pointers.
But Lin's heroics weren't enough to save the Rockets, who fell to the Philadelphia 76ers in overtime, 123-177, Wednesday night at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
While the Rockets got a huge lift from Lin, the Sixers drew superb performances from James Anderson and Tony Wroten as Philly improved to a surprising 5-4 record for the season.
Wroten served a triple-double in his first career-start -- 18 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists -- while James Anderson had 36 points on 6-for-8 shooting from 3-point range and 12-for-16 form the field overall.
Evan Turner also had 23 to aid Philadelphia's cause.
Dwight Howard had 23 points and 15 rebounds for Houston while Chandler Parsons dropped 22. But the Rockets misfired from above the 3-point territory, sinking just 15 of 41 triple attempts.
Rockets All-Star James Harden did not play with a bruised left foot while rookie sensation Michael Carter-Williams of Philly also sat with a bruised arch on his left foot.
