Sayson PhilBoxing.com Thu, 09 May 2013 ![]() CHICAGO -- Point guard Michael Conley Jr scored sank a deep 3, a mid-range jumper, and a pair of free throws in the final 1:58 of the fourth quarter as the Memphis Grizzlies stole Game 2 of their Western Conference semifinal against the Oklahoma City Thunder, 99-93, at the Chesapeake Energy Arena. Conley, who made 5-of-6 field goals and 2-of-3 threes in the final 12 minutes of play, also grabbed 10 rebounds and issued nine assists. His heroics allowed the Grizzlies to tie the best-of-7 series at one game apiece. Game 3 is Saturday afternoon at the FedEx Forum in downtown Memphis. Center Marc Gasol had another all-around fare for Memphis, finishing with 24 points, five rebounds and five assists while power forward Zach Randolph had 15. Guard Tony Allen registered 12 points and seven rebounds. "We gave up too many second-chance points and offensive rebounds. We gotta block them out and hold our ground. We gave them 30 points in two quarters and we're a better defensive team than that. I thought we had a couple of defensive breakdowns that really hurt," OKC head coach Scott Brooks told NBA.com. Kevin Durant had another superb effort with 36 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists to lead the Thunder. Veteran point guard Derek Fisher had 19 off the bench while Serge Ibaka finished with 11. But the Thunder shot just 42.9 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from 3-point range. (Homer D.
