Weng Haya Decisions Eman Labanza
By Carlos Costa PhilBoxing.com Tue, 18 Oct 2011

CEBU, Philippines - In the last combat of the entertaining "Back with a Vengeance" card, super featherweight Weng Haya (14-4, 8KO's) scored an 8-rounds unanimous decision victory over his shorter opponent the "Fighting Boholano" Eman Labanza (7-9, 0 KO's) Saturday (Oct 15) at the Hoops Dome in Lapu-Lapu, Cebu.
For the victorious Weng Haya, this was his second combat after nearly 2 years away from boxing. In his last outing Weng knocked out Laguna's Richard Laano (10-15-4, 6KO's) in the first round last August in Cavite.
Meanwhile, Cebu's resident Eman Labanza, 24, of the Phil-Aust Team made a good effort against Weng Haya as Labanza's will for battle was evident. But overall, the taller Weng Haya was the boxer who scored the necessary points to claim the win.
Official scores cards were 78-73, 77-74, 76-75 all in favor of Weng Haya, a 22-year-old Mandaue fighter of the Cebu-based SGC stable of boxers.
The late night Haya vs Labanza fight was the final and closing bout in the exciting "Back with a Vengeance" card presented by promoter Sammy Gello-ani in association with AKTV.
