Chris Arreola bags WBC Fecombox and Mexican Heavyweight Title
Cristobal "The Nightmare" Arreola threw all the bombs he could have all night long, but just could not put away the game but stubborn Manuel "El Toro" Quezada in winning the official WBC Fecombox Heavyweight Title and the unofficial Mexican heritage Heavyweight Crown, moments ago at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, CA. True to his prefight promise, the severely outweighed Manny Quezada decided to meet the heftier, taller and bigger Chris Arreola head on, but paid a heavy price for his temerity, hitting the canvas twice in the 9th round and staving off another knockdown in the final round to lose by lopsided scores of 118-107 (twice) and 117-108.
The rest of the fights:
In the evening's curtain raiser, bantamweight prospect Michael Ruiz stretched his unbeaten mark to 5-0 following a 2nd round demolition of Matthew Salazar.

Chad Bennet won by unanimous decision over Gary Bergeron, 80-71 on all three judges scorecards in their junior welterweight setto, and, Junior Bantamweight Matt Villanueva kayoed debuting Alejo Guzman in the 1st round, to round up the last two bouts in the 6 fight card of this Goosen-Tutor promotions.
