Semifinals Conclude at 2025 USA Boxing International Open

Forty-six finals bouts slated for Saturday’s schedule
PUEBLO, Colo. (April 18, 2025) – The finals are set after Friday’s semifinal bouts were decided inside the Pueblo Convention Center in Pueblo, Colo. Forty bouts were contested across two rings during Friday’s lone session, setting the stage for Saturday's finals.
The day began with six junior male bouts, three in each ring, followed by 12 youth male bouts to reach Friday's halfway mark. The elite divisions then concluded the day’s tournament matches from bouts 10 through 16 inside each ring. The final eight matches of the day consisted of matched bouts, where boxers are paired based on age, weight and experience to grant participants additional opportunities to gain bout experience. Matched bouts are not contested within the tournament landscape and do not affect tournament brackets.
In the final tournament bout of the day for ring one, Marcus Luther put on a clinic over his opponent from the Kyrgyz Republic. Luther showcased his dominant power while enacting his quick footwork to dominate his foe and capture a unanimous decision. Following the win, Luther advances to Saturday’s elite male 65kg final.
The 2025 USA Boxing International Open continues on Saturday, April 19, with 46 championship matchups. The finals session kicks off at noon MT and will once again be broadcast live on the USA Boxing website. Tickets are available at the door for $10 for a day pass.
