WBA, WBO AND RING MAGAZINE MINIMUMWEIGHT WORLD CHAMPION OSCAR “EL PUPILO” COLLAZO HOSTS MEDIA WORKOUT PhilBoxing.com Tue, 25 Mar 2025  COLLAZO TO DEFEND WORLD TITLES ON SATURDAY, MARCH 29 - LIVE FROM CANCUN AND EXCLUSIVELY BROADCAST ON DAZN CAGUAS, Puerto Rico (March 24, 2025) — Unified WBA, WBO and Ring Magazine minimumweight world champion Oscar “El Pupilo” Collazo (11-0, 8 KOs) of Villalba, Puerto Rico, hosted a media workout today in his native Puerto Rico ahead of his 12-round world title defense against Querétaro, Mexico’s Edwin “Canito” Cano (13-2-1, 4 KOs). The stellar co-main event, presented in co-promotion with Miguel Cotto Promotions, is part of the highly anticipated rematch between WBC interim lightweight world champion William "El Camarón" Zepeda (31-0, 26 KOs) of San Mateo Atenco, Mexico, and former IBF super featherweight champion Tevin "2X" Farmer (33-7-1, 8 KOs) of Philadelphia. The 12-round main event for Zepeda’s WBC interim title is set for Saturday, March 29, at the Poliforum Benito Juárez in Cancún, Mexico, in association with Cancún Boxing. The fight will be broadcast worldwide on DAZN. Here is what Collazo had to say: "This camp is going great. As always, I am giving 150% in this camp. I am focusing on my strategy on this fighter that we were supposed to fight in November. I've done over 130 rounds of sparring during this camp. It's been a very strategic camp. I'm feeling good." "My opponent is a good fighter. He is ranked No. 3 by the WBO. He wants to be a world champion like everyone else. This is my fifth title defense, and a lot of people have tried to dethrone me, so this won't be the exception. Cano is a hell of a fighter, but this is my time."
