PhilBoxing.com

Matchroom Sport is delighted to today announce TOM – the UK’s leading, digital no-nonsense insurance brand designed with dads and lads in mind - as its new, official group insurance partner.

Covering all major UK events across the respective Matchroom Boxing, Professional Darts Corporation and World Snooker Tour calendars, the ground-breaking deal sees the life insurer distributor join forces with the Essex-based sporting empire.

TOM is a digital insurance provider that’s disrupting the industry with its digital, customer-centric approach. Designed for people who aren’t experts, they provide solutions that help to guide customers through the complex process of securing cover and managing policies in one easy-to-use app, making life insurance quick, clear, and stress-free.

Through its innovative marketing and unique ‘no-nonsense’ approach, TOM’s message reaches over one million UK insurance consumers every single day.

And now, In the first group sponsorship of its kind for Matchroom Sport, TOM will be immersed in events which showcase the world’s leading sporting personalities including global superstars stars such as Boxing heavyweight Anthony Joshua, Darts icon Luke Littler and Snooker legend Ronnie O’Sullivan and many more.

Matchroom Sport chairman Eddie Hearn said: “We are thrilled to welcome TOM, for what is truly a unique and monumental partnership for our Group.

"TOM and Matchroom are both grounded in family values and legacy. We believe in paving the way for the new generation, which I know first-hand, thanks to the incredible destiny passed on to me by my dad, Matchroom Sport Life President, Barry Hearn.

"As a father myself, I can’t think of anything more important than protecting my own. And because we’re a family-run business, we know how important it is to protect the people closest to you. This deal will hopefully help protect many future generations of our fans across our key sports.”

Joshua Sargant, CEO at Clark, the parent company of Tom, said: "We are thrilled to partner with Matchroom, a powerhouse in global sport - to raise awareness for the critical role life insurance plays in ensuring financial security."

"As a family-run business, they share our mission and vision in helping families understand the importance of financial protection.

"This will be an authentic partnership which enables us to harness Matchroom's extensive reach to share the vital message of how life insurance provides financial security and peace of mind for families across the UK.”

Head of Creative at 258MGT and founder of Optimum Management Nicole Macdermott, added: “Having worked closely with both Matchroom and TOM for a number of years, we’re excited to help deliver a successful partnership that is digital focused and forward thinking.”
