Kaipo Gallegos Eyes WBO Youth Title in High-Stakes Clash Against Iron Alvarez This Friday PhilBoxing.com Tue, 29 Oct 2024  ORLANDO, FL (October 28, 2024) – Undefeated lightweight Kaipo Gallegos (6-0-1, 5 KOs) from Las Vegas, NV, is set to take a major step in his career as he battles Tampa’s Iron Alvarez (15-2, 11 KOs) for the WBO Youth title this Friday, November 1, 2024, at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, FL. The 8-round bout will serve as the co-main event on a DAZN-televised card headlined by Jamaine “The Technician” Ortiz (17-2-1, 8 KOs) versus Christian Rubio Mino (24-9-2, 17 KOs) for the WBA Continental USA Jr. Welterweight title. Gallegos, who is co-promoted by Boxlab Promotions and Shuan Boxing, has generated excitement in the lightweight division with his aggressive style and high KO ratio. The 18-year-old is focused on capturing the WBO Youth title in what he acknowledges will be the toughest test of his career to date. Gallegos knows the stakes are high against the battle-tested Alvarez, a dangerous puncher with extensive experience in the ring. “Training camp has been tremendous,” said Gallegos. “I’ve put in the work with my team, fine-tuning my skills and making sure I’m peaking at the right time.
