Mirano rules Sta. Maria chessfest

DAVAO CITY – Allen Mirano of North Cotabato scored 5.5 points to rule the Open Division of the 56th Araw ng Sta. Maria 2024 of the covered court in Sta. Maria, Davao Occidental.
Four others were tied with 5 points each but Mhyl Crese Wayne Patrimonio of Digos City had a better quotient over Dillon Intila of Gensan, Kobe Bryant Segura of Davao City and Orly Ortega of Gensan.
Reynaldo Quinonez of Davao City is 5th with 4.5 points followed by Elias Banguiran, Jimmy Dano, Gino Asuncion, Cyndrex Arsenio, Danilo Geverola, Erich Von Requilan Jr. and Julius Gonzaga with 4.0.
SJ Samuel Guillermo [11 years old and under] and Carl Fiel [17 and below] were the champions in their respective categories.
