Logic says if it is a boxing match, that favors the Ukrainian and if it is a war, that favors the Mexican-American star. Gvozdyk is an experienced ring thinker, and Benavidez freely admits Gvozdyk gave him some trouble when they sparred a couple of years ago, but there are some gifted power punchers against whom there isn’t enough time to think, and Benavidez is building a compelling case that he is that kind of puncher.
