GOLDEN BOY SIGNS UNDEFEATED SUPER FEATHERWEIGHT PROSPECT JOSHUA “EL AMERICANO” GARCIA

LOS ANGELES, CALIF. (May 22, 2024): Golden Boy announced today the signing of young, undefeated super featherweight prospect Joshua “El Americano” Garcia (8-0, 4 KOs).

It’s been a dream of mine since I was a little kid to fight and be promoted by the best in the business,” said Joshua Garcia. “Thank you Oscar De La Hoya and Eric Gomez for this amazing opportunity, you won’t be disappointed. I will take full advantage of it and represent GBP to the best of my abilities and ultimately become your next world champion. I want to give a special thank you to my mom and dad for always believing and supporting me in every way possible. Undefeated prospect Joshua Garcia began boxing when his father took him to a local boxing gym to learn how to defend himself. He became enamored with the sport, and decided to pursue it full time. With around 40 amateur fights under his belt, he decided to pursue the professional ranks in 2021 and made his debut in Mexico with a first-round knockout victory against Boris Garcia Escalante. He was last seen on April 4 when he earned a split decision win against veteran Diuhl Olguin. Training out of Los Angeles, the Moreno Valley native will look to progress steadily in the sport and has big aspirations to be a champion.
