DARCHINYAN ARRIVES IN CEBU!
By Salven L. Lagumbay PhilBoxing.com Sun, 27 Jan 2008

CEBU CITY--Hard-hitting former IBF/IBO flyweight king Vic "Raging Bull" arrived in Cebu last night with his team fully confident that he will emerge victorious against Z Gorres when they tangle in the 12-round main event on February 2 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel here.
Darchinyan and members of his team arrived at 10 o'clock last night, according to ALA Gym director for marketing Dennis Canete, who met the group at the airport.
The dynamite-fisted Darchinyan planed in accompanied by manager Elias Nasser, trainer Billy Hussein, sparmate Hussein Hussein, and Benny Nasser.
The group was welcomed at the hotel lobby by their American promoter Gary Shaw, who came earlier last Thursday and has told the media how he wished Darchinyan was not fighting Gorres as a tribute to the very warm welcome accorded him by the ALA Group.
Darchinyan, raring to shake off the effect of long travel, immediately sought out the gym facilities of the hotel, and had his first workout near midnight Philippine time just moments after checking in at the hotel.
Vic Darchinyan will hold a PUBLIC workout at the ALA Gym BTC on Jan 28 Monday at 5:30PM. A PRIVATE workout will be held on Jan 29 at ALA Gym Talamban.
Fans who wish to see the fight live can watch it via "live streaming" for a minimal fee courtesy of neTVision.com.ph.
