ESTRADA OUTSMARTS RUNGVISAI, WINS BY UD
By Dong Secuya PhilBoxing.com Sat, 27 Apr 2019

Juan Francisco Estrada exact revenge against Srisaket Sor Rungvisai to snatch the WBC superfly belt
from his former tormentor to even their score at 1-1 wint a unanimous decision wih at The Forum in Inglewood, CA Friday night (Saturday in Manila).
Judges scores: Alejandro Rochin, 116-112; Craig Metcalf, 115-113 and Gerald Ritter, 115-113 all in favor of Estrada. Philboxing had it 117-111 for Estrada.
Estrada revealed his plan to defeat Rungvisai right from the first round by maintaining a safe distance and timed well his counters after a Rungvisai misses, digging to the body and throwing combinations to the head that mostly hit home. Estrada, using his reach advantage and agility, maintained this strategy until the 10th round when, probably pushed by his Mexican pedigree, mixed it up with the power-punching Thai in the last two rounds giving Rungvisai a chance to turn the tables on the Mexican. Ringvisai probably got the last two rounds but it was too late for him to catch up with the scorecards.
Estrada now improves to 39-3-0 with 26 KOs while Rungvisai suffered his 5th defeat, the first after five years and is now 47-5-1 with 41KOs.
