Pacquiao-Broner title fight is on

With the pre-fight details finally ironed out, the World Boxing Association welterweight championship encounter between Filipino defending titlist Manny Pacquiao and American challenger Adrien Broner is definitely pushing through.
Pacquiao?s chief legal counsel, lawyer Tom Falgui, assured in a telephone interview that the 12-round title fight will definitely be held January 19 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.
A two-city press tour, according to Atty. Falgui, has been scheduled in New York and Los Angeles on November 19 and 20, respectively.
Press conference where official announcement of the showdown will take place at the Gotham Hall in Manhattan and Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills immediately following the media tour.
The twin events are open to media members only and will include a formal press conference followed by print and electronic interviews with the fighters and event executives.
Senator Pacquiao and his party will be flying to New York on Saturday in time for the events, Falgui said.
The signing of the contract which will spell out other important details will take place after a meeting between the camps of the belt-owner and his challenger before Pacquiao and party returns to Manila on Wednesday (Manila time).
Pacquiao?s camp is scheduled to arrive Manila on Friday.
The champ?s preparation will start in earnest next week in Manila because of the opening of Senate session last Wenesday.
