WHO MADE MAYWEATHER-PACQUIAO FIGHT HAPPEN?

PhilBoxing.com

Open your eyes.

How relieving that the elusive fight will at last come true, but how disturbing that the pound-for-pound ?lord? is being canonized by toxic opinions as a consequence. Contrary to what idolaters insist, Floyd ?Money? Mayweather is not his own god anymore, much less the god of boxing.

The fight is on, but why they venerate Mayweather for it?
One scribe sculpted a bust devoted to the worship of a false deity and which feeds well the ego of an already egoistic boxer. The article says in part, ?The world won?t know until Floyd wants us to know. Mayweather is the landlord?? Well, before Floyd knew about anything or him agreeing to fight Pacman, the people saw and knew it ahead of time.

Another bowed to pay homage to his master, ?When Mayweather says jump, virtually everyone in boxing asks how high. He loves playing the puppet master and making people wait and bend to his hill.? But who asks how high, and who waits to bend to his hill?

Hitting the net this week is the latest joke that discusses Floyd?s ?brilliance? in purportedly leading the way to get the fight done. The author concludes: ?It was Mayweather who engineered what will be the richest fight in boxing history.? Alas, Mayweather himself is busy explaining monstrous alibis about his decision or announcement of the Mega Bout. Who obligates him? He defends, ?I knew eventually it would happen, but everything takes time? Everything in life is about timing? we made the fight happen.?

No, they didn?t.

Why Floyd ultimately decided to fight Manny ?Pacman? Pacquiao? Or why he preferred not to cherry pick this time? The answer is open, yet ?hidden,? clear yet ?abstract,? plain yet ?mystical,? but only to the apostates and reprobates who find pleasure in being lost simultaneous to being funny and miserable. And what about the ?specialists? who ranted a lot and rant on schedule but say nothing of value?

To set things straight, bend to find out what?s underneath the rubbles. Truth is: Mayweather opted to fight Pacquiao - NOT BECAUSE HE WANTED TO, BUT BECAUSE HE HAD TO. And, certainly, not because Manny needs money as Money alleges.

Was there an alternative choice for Mayweather to escape when all the other routes were mere detours to the same direction he so avoided and detested? What?s in the bout for anyone to congratulate Floyd when he has his back against the wall? This is the way to be fair to Mayweather. He is subdued.

How come a miracle matchup is upon us? Who did the ?magic??

Not Mayweather or Pacquiao. Not the Money Team or Top Rank. Not Showtime or HBO. Not a governing or sanctioning body. Not a President or politician. Not a single person or entity in and outside of boxing. Not the haters or fanatics. Not the media. Not the jerks. Not even the sport itself.

The bout is ?ripe,? but in fact long overdue. And there is merit in commenting that it is far from attractive as it was five or six years ago. But who makes it appealing until now? It?s the fans and the people. Who keeps the flame burning? It?s the fans and the people.

Who believed the inconceivable? Who pushed the immovable? Who climbed the rocks? Who defied the odds? Who laid the ground for warring camps to meet? Who set the tone in the negotiations? Who summoned up the basics of the contract? Who persevered in the talks? Who prevailed in the squabbles among bonsais? It?s the fans and the people.

Who boxed the unruly to behave? Who tamed the bulls to obey? Who volunteered to risk scorn and spite? Who dreamt big and dared skies? Who hoped and kept faith alive? Who labored without wages? Who unceasingly prayed and shed tears? Who didn?t give up? It?s the fans and the people.

Who will cause that May 2 event successful? Who will determine whether or not it will be boxing?s richest matchup ever? And who can make it all that it can be to go down in history as the greatest? It?s the fans and the people. To God be the glory.
?People Power? is again victorious. Mission accomplished. The essentials of ?Mayweather vs. Pacquiao? ought to set at liberty those who have been entangled, blind and sickly. Salvation is a choice. And it?s free.

Who made the Super Fight happen?

It?s the FANS AND THE PEOPLE.

Be saved, or be hopeless.
