Former IBF miniflyweight champ Florante Condes (27W-8L-1D, 23KO?s) will see action in Japan against Ryoichi Taguchi (19W-2L-1D,8KO?s). This will be his third fight since he returned to the Jaro Boxing Gym.
Promoter Aljoe Jaro informed philboxing that they are looking forward to a title shot at the current IBF champion in the 105 lb division, Katsunari Takayama of Japan.
Jaro informed that they will be leaving for Tokyo on July 3 for the fight that will be held at the Korakuen Hall on the 5th. Their goal is to make Condes move up the world rankings.
Another option for Condes, Jaro said, is to go for the WBO champ, Francisco Rodriguez who dethroned Merlito Sabillo last March.
?Condes has trained for three months and he is slowly reaching his old championship form,? Jaro said.
Condes has won his last two fights by TKO while Taguchi is a former Japan lt. flyweight champ.
