Filipino bet Jerry Legaspi of Team Kamphius-Fabricio lived up to his billing by winning the gold medal in his favorite Male Masters Blue belt division, over 79 kg (Pesado), against Taffy Gutu of Hongkong via Jumping guillotine in the finals.

Teammate Kamphius-Fabricio ace Stephen Salazar to made it a double for the Filipinos in the Male Masters Blue belt division, under 79 kg (Pesado) in a close 3-2 decision match against Neil Tan in another battle for gold.

On the road to the finals, Legaspi defeated Edmund Lauron of Gracie Bara Westchase, 10-0, then toppled Lali Jochman of Kreation JJ-Singapore via foot lock.

The 36-year-old Las Pinas resident Salazar needed to beat Hideaki Sakamoto of Japan to arrange a titular showdown with Tan, who brought down Moto Yukihogami of Singapore.

The two-day (Saturday and Sunday) competition was organized by ADCC Asia President Stephen Khamphuis who said ?Martial arts is one of the greatest forms of personal development, allowing kids and adults to build a stronger body, a sharper mind and a tenacious spirit." -Marlon Bernardino-
