HOUSTON -- The 2013 NBA All-Stars thrilled the capacity crowd at the Sprint Arena Jam Session here by conducting a free workout at the George R Brown Convention Center right next door to the Toyota Center.
Fifteen-time All-Star Kobe Bryant spearheaded the Western Conference stars. Kobe was joined by fellow Los Angeles Laker Dwight Howard, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook of the Oklahoma City Thunder, L.A. Clippers' Blake Griffin and Chris Paul, Tim Duncan and Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs, and David Lee of the Golden State Warriors, LaMarcus Aldridge of the Portland Trail Blazers, James Harden of the Houston Rockets and Zach Randolph of the Memphis Grizzlies.
High-flying LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade of defending NBA champions Miami Heat led the Eastern Conference alongside Luol Deng and Joakim Noah of the Chicago Bulls, Kevin Garnett of the Boston Celtics, the New York Knicks' Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler, Paul George of the Indiana Pacers, Brook Lopez of the Brooklyn Nets, Jrue Holiday of the Phildelphia 76ers and Cleveland Cavaliers' rookie sensation, Kyrie Irving, who waxed hot with 32 points in last night's high-scoring edition of the BBVA Rising Stars Challenge.
San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich will handle the West team in tommorow's tiff while Miami's Erik Spoelstra steered the East.
Chicago Bulls' mascot Benny Da Bull and Hugo of the New Orleans Hornets engaged the fans with their hilarious antics while the gorgeous Houston Power Dancers wowed everyone with their invigorating dance numbers in between the breaks. (AMJR)
