In the main event of Pinoy Pride XV, Jason "El Ni?o" Pagara demolished and knocked out the Mexican Wolf Rosbel "El Lobito" Montoya getting the sweet revenge for his defeat last year and capturing the WBO international super lightweight title at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino in Cebu.
It was an excellent performance for the 22 year-old Cagayan de Oro native who looked as a newly reinvigorated and more skillful fighter, totally different than the one seen last year against the same Wolf.
This time around Pagara displayed initiative in attacking his enemy with good quality punches, and showed speed and accuracy that immediately paid off as he sent Montoya down in the very first round with crushing body shots.
From that moment on, it was Pagara dictating the actions till the final demise of Lobito Montoya who had no weapons available to counter the effective assaults dished out by "El Ni?o" who improve his record to 29 wins, only 2 loses, 18 wins by way of knock out.
El Lobito was simply surprised and overrun by the fast train Pagara. The Mexican's bravery and warrior's heart were evident, but his boxing skills betrayed him this time. He was not as effective as last year while Pagara shined.
The Little Wolf "Lobito" Montoya chapter in Pagara's boxing career can be closed. Now "El Ni?o" can look forward to more exciting challenges.
