Golden Boy Promotions, Inc. vice-president and matchmaker Eric Gomez arrived in Manila last night to represent Oscar De la Hoya's outfit for this Sunday's Mano-A-Mano mega-event at the Araneta Coliseum.
The American outfit promotes Oscar Larios, the Mexican who has the unenviable task of demystifying Filipino icon Manny Pacquiao in a 12-round rumble in the main event.

Gomez was met at the airport by Filipino promoter Sammy 'Don King' Gello-ani, WBO vice-president for Asia Pacific Leon Panoncillo and Michael Aldeguer, who manages the ALA Boys which include Rey 'Boom Boom' Bautista, who was pulled out from the card after being struck by flu virus.
Gomez was in full suppport of the decision to pull Bautista out of the big card, indicating that the boxer's health is of utmost importance, while pointing out that the young fighter will soon be featured in a mammoth card in Las Vegas.
