MICHAEL FARENAS TO FIGHT FERNANDO BELTRAN JR. UNDER THE VILORIA-MIRANDA CARD ON JULY 16 IN HAWAII

It?s official. Michael Farenas (W31?(KO26)?L3?D3) will face tough Mexican Fernando ?Pinocho? Beltran Jr. (W35?(KO19) L?5?D1) under the Brian Viloria vs. Julio Cesar Miranda championship card on July 16, 2011 at the Blaisdell Center, Honolulu, Hawaii. This was confirmed by Gerry Pe?alosa who acts as Farenas? mentor and adviser. Pe?alosa informed this writer that the news was confirmed to him by Solar Sports who organizes the Viloria-Miranda fight.

This is Farenas? biggest break so far. Beltran is a highly ranked veteran, taller at 5?8?, never been knocked out and his losses came from elite champions and contenders in the likes of Steve Molitor and Joan Guzman. Beltran?s resume is definitely more impressive than Farenas but Michael certainly possesses the skills, the chin, the guts and heart to beat the Mexican warrior. An impressive win by Farenas will be a huge step towards a championship fight within this year or early next year.
