It will be a battle of brawlers tonight at the Ynares Plaza in Binangonan as Sonny Boy Jaro faces challenger Rey Megri?o for the IBF Junior Flyweight Pan Pacific title. Both fighters are well known sluggers and will definitely bring on a night of excitement. International Promoter Aljoe Jaro stated that Sonny Boy whom recently embraced back to his stable, is very hungry to regain his place as one of the highly rated boxers in his division.
Sonny Boy Jaro is the former OPBF and IBF Pan Pacific Champion and a two-time world title challenger. Megri?o on the other hand is a former PABA Flyw Champion.
During yesterday?s weigh-in, Migre?o easily made the 108 lbs. limit on the attempt at the scales while Jaro tipped in at 111 lbs. and only made weight after the maximum two hours time he was given to shed off the 3 lbs. excess weight.
Also featured as supporting bout will be the Philippine Featherweight Championship showdown between Vin-Vin Rufino and Edgar Gabijan-Singwancha. The card is also a sure war because of the aggressive style of both fighters and at stake.
The event is being brought to us by Aljoe Jaro, Thai Promoter Naris Singwancha and GMA Network in cooperation with Gov. Junjun Ynares, Mayor Boyet Ynares Cong. Joel Duavit.
