Filipino fighter Alex Aroy, who fought for the WBC Youth minimumweight title last December 23, has reportedly not been paid his purse for the fight, said his manager Rex "Wakee" Salud, a loyal member of the WBC family.
Aroy lost a unanimous decision to talented Oleydong Sithchanerchai at the Rajabhak University in Petchaboon, Thailand on the said fight.
In an interview with Philboxing.com yesterday, it was known from Salud that Bong Obero, who arranged the fight, has until now failed to send Aroy's purse despite the fight having taken place 12 days ago.
Salud could not determine whether Obero or Oleydong's promoter was at fault for the non-payment, but was unequivocal in his words when he said that he will not send his other ward, Jojo Bardon, to fight for the PABA 112-lb title on January 17 if Obero, who is again arranging the fight, fails to send Aroy's money.
