BAUTISTA FOE INJURED, SEEKS NEW OCT. 16 RIVAL

Comebacking Rey "Boom Boom" Bautista will have to find another opponent for his Oct. 16 fight after Thailand's Rachamongkol Sor Pleonchit suffered an injury which will prevent him from seeing action in the card set at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel.

The injury was confirmed yesterday by sportsman Antonio L. Aldeguer, who said that Bautista's camp is still waiting for the replacement.

"They gave us two names. We have not finalized yet," informed Aldeguer.

The title bout, however, will still push through as the Italy-based WBC International will sanction it as a fight for the vacant interim WBC International featherweight crown.

Bautista (26-2, 19 KO's) who will be fighting for the first time after almost eleven months, has been training at the ALA Gym following the go signal given to him by physicians who operated on his left hand which has been bothering him even before his bout with Mexican Heriberto Ruiz, who beat him via decision back in November.

The undercard will feature fellow ALA fighters Czar Amonsot and Jason Pagara.

Amonsot will take on Thailand-based Congolese Jesus Singwancha, while Pagara battles Decho Bankluaygym also of Thailand.
