Isa na namang matinding pagsubok para sa lahing Pinoy! On August 16, at the legendary Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, a brave Cebuano warrior steps straight into enemy territory.

Alex Santisima (13-2, 7 KOs) collides with former IBF Super Bantamweight World Champion Yukinori Oguni (34-4-3, 9 KOs) in a 10-round super bantamweight war!

The 38-year-old Japanese veteran still sits high in the world rankings (WBA #11, WBC #12, WBO #6) in the division currently ruled by "The Monster" Naoya Inoue.

A massive win here could throw Santisima’s name straight into the world-title conversation.

🗣️ THIS IS WHAT OGUNI THINKS OF SANTISIMA:

"What sets me apart is my experience."

Speaking of Santisima after sizing him up for the first time, Oguni observed:

"I heard Alex Santisima has been campaigning at featherweight, so I was curious how he would handle the weight cut — but he looks in excellent condition. Physically, Alex appears very strong."

He then added with a clear note of caution, giving respect to the Pinoy corner:

"I am mindful, too, that Michael Domingo is in his corner. The boxers Domingo trains are always formidable."

"Alex Santisima is the younger man — he has stamina and power. But what I hold over him is the experience of having been in this kind of high-stakes fight before. Even so, I cannot afford to lose. There is more pressure on me now than there was in the Tapales fight," Oguni admitted.

🥊 YOUTH & POWER VS. VETERAN EXPERIENCE

It was only last April at this very same Tokyo venue where Oguni earned a hard-fought decision win over former world champion Marlon Tapales.

Will the Japanese veteran Ohuni repeat history against another Pinoy fighter?

Or will the 26-year-old Cebuano contender, guided by master strategist Michael "Bruce Lee" Domingo, bring the heat and score a huge upset victory on enemy soil?

Isang matinding bakbakan ang nag-aabang! May the best man win—Laban Pinoy!
