INDIO, California -- Skilled Filipino challenger Jayson Vayson and unbeaten Puerto Rican champion Oscar "Pupilo" Collazo went face-to-face at the entertaining Golden Boy Promotions press conference today at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, California.
The two talented boxers are all set to clash for the Unified WBO/WBA/Ring Magazine Minimumweight World Title this Saturday, live on DAZN (Sunday at 8 am in the Philippines)
During the press conference, Vayson (14-1-1, 8 KOs) of Agusan del Sur and Collazo (12-0, 9 KOs) of Villalba, Puerto Rico, exuded confidence and strength, shaking hands and displaying a friendly demeanor that added interest to the 12-round battle.
Vayson, 27, is accompanied in his quest for a world title by his loyal coach Alan Alegria, and supporters Brico Santig, Darwin Miller Angelo Dep-ay, Ulysses Sato, Jay-R Raquinel, and Carlos Costa.
The crucial weigh-in ceremony is scheduled for tomorrow, September 19, and will be broadcast live on DAZN, with both fighters expected to weigh-in at 105 pounds or less.
The Filipino Team is confident that Jayson Vayson will make weight without difficulty, given his discipline and focus.
Will the bearded Collazo retain his title, or will the friendly and religious Vayson pull off a fantastic win?
