DAVAO CITY – The Solido Football Club of Davao City and Orlando FC-A of Tagum City were both declared as co-champions in the 40 years old Above category in the Champions League 2 held today, Sunday, March 10 at the Tionko Agro Football Field in Ecoland.
“They were declared double champions due to unsettled penalty shootout and both teams decided,” said tournament director Jessie Gravino.
Mentored by Buboy Arieta, Solido was composed of Melano Rivera, Many Carlo Yu, Alex Gamat, Nonoy Subaldo, Rodelo Montoya, Bryan Dolendo, Chuck Tabamo, Kenneth Villaluz, Nur Amir, Weng Digal, Kert Dalipe, Ace Barlaan, Chuks Henry and Emeson Austin.
Orlando was coached by Noel Flores..
Second runner-up were the FCN Angkols under coach Renzo Adrian “Nenen” Añuber from Nabunturan.
The other participating teams were Orlando-B, Sotomil FC, Orlando Kings, Central Dragons and Azul United FC.
The founder and organizer of the league is Austin Emeson. Tournament director is Jessie Gravino while the match com is Julio Orcasitas.
