NEWLY-CROWNED Orient and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) super flyweight champion Kevin Jake "KJ" Cataraja of Cebu will make his first title-defense against Jayr “The Dreamer” Raquinel of Negros Occidental on November 11 at the Prefectural Budokan in Nagoya, Japan.
The 28-year-old Cataraja will be fighting outside the country for the first time.
“It's also my first fight outside of the Philippines, I'm so excited,” said Cataraja.
Cataraja is presently training with his coach Michael Domingo at ZIP-Sanman Gym in Banawa, Cebu City.
He is now sparring with ARQ boxers.
“I love this challenging fight,” said Cataraja.
Cataraja is undefeated with 16 wins, 13 by knockouts.
In his last fight, he won the vacant OPBF super flyweight title by a unanimous decision over former OPBF light flyweight champion Edward Heno of Muntinlupa City last February 11, 2023 in General Santos City.
