THE much-awaited "Destiny of Champions" in Thailand featuring five championship bouts will be held on September 28 at the Spaceplus Bangkok RCA in Bangkok.
Promoter Brico Santig of Highland Boxing Team said that two of the fighters are Filipinos - Herlan "Niño Bonito" Gomez and Ador Torres.
The 24-year-old Gomez will fight for the vacant World Boxing Council Asian Silver bantamweight title against Komagrich Nantapech of Thailand.
Torres, 28, on the other hand, will be defending his Asian Boxing Federation welterweight champion.
The three other championships will have former WIBA World minimumweight champion Denise Castle of United Kingdom against ex-OPBF minimumweight champion Sana Hazuki of Japan for the vacant WBC Silver atomweight title; Thai featherweight champion Mikael Arutyunyan of Russia against Nakharin Hangyu of Thailand for the vacant WBC Asian Silver super bantamweight title; and undefeated Hil Ting Chan of Hong Kong against Chutinan Khonghoi of Thailand for the Thai light flyweight title.
The opening fight pits Farrukh Arslonov of Uzbekistan against Vachayan Khamon of Thailand in a6-rounder.
It will also feature undefeated Lisa “Pretty Girl” Bechina of France against flyweight Daomontha Sor Jakkaphan of Thailand.
The boxing event is also promoted by Supanat Chanram and Baris Erdogan of Tunal Academy.
