RICHARD Garde and Jing “Ego” Aguan both stopped their opponents to win their title fights for the Mindanao Professional Boxing Association (MinProBA) last July 29 at the Compostela Gym in Compostela, Davao de Oro.
The 26-year-old Garde of Alalas Stable retained his MinProba mini-flyweight title by knocking out Dexter “Iligan Cement Kidmama” Alimento of Cagayan de Oro City in the 4th round.
It was Garde’s first title-fight since he knocked out Ronald Ewican of Misamis in the 1st round last May in Pres Roxas, North Cotabato.
The undefeated Aguan of Kidapawan City, on the other hand, scored a technical knockout in the 4th round against Jerry Pabila of Cotabato for the vacant MinProBA featherweight title.

The boxing card was promoted by Sangguiang Bayan member Allan Calalas with Rodel Garde as matchmaker.
