Clarin inducts MinPROA Officers in Davao

GAMES and Amusement Board (GAB) Chairman Atty. Richard S. Clarin inducted today, March 24 the newly elected officers of the Mindanao Professional Ring Officials Association (MinPROA) at the Lanang Suite in Lanang, Davao City.

Clarin sworn into office re-elected Brembot Dulalas as president and retired GAB Davao OIC Jaime “Jimmy” Mata as vice-president.

Also inducted are Marlou Neri, secretary; Sabas Ponpon, treasurer; Rodolfo Alocelja, auditor; Bonie Templonuevo and Lito Delos Reyes, public information officers.

The board members are Roel Densing – Cagayan de Oro City; Jolly Lopez – Surigao City; Mr. Cabalar – Butuan City; Mario de Ramos – Davao City; Teodoro Denonong – South Cotabato; Ramuel Ovalo – North Cotabato; Dr. Arthur Carpentero – Kidapawan City; Dr. Clemente Carlos II – Digos City and Dr. Edgar Tan – Davao City.

Clarin, who arrived together with Dr. Radentor Viernes, head of medical section and some staff from Makati, briefed MinPROA an update of GAB.

Clarin also wants unity among the boxing community and hopes it will come soon.

"I hope that unity will come first so that the other country will not just do it," said Clarin.

Clarin stressed the point that GAB is evolving its regulation for the enrichment of Philippine professional sports.

He welcomed the suggestions of the MinPROA including the giving the assignment of judges and referees round robin.

Also present were staff from GAB Davao headed by OIC Arnulfo “Teng” Sazon II.
