Suarez wins IBF Asia super featherweight title

UNDEFEATED Charly “King’s Warrior” Suarez of San Isidro, Davao del Norte stopped Defry “The Unseen Hammer” Palulu of Indonesia via a 3rd round technical knockout to win the vacant IBF Asia super featherweight title at The Grand He Tram Strip in Vung Yau, Vietnam.

The 34-year-old Suarez broke Palulu’s nose already in the first round with his sharp punches.

Suarez again continued to hurt Palulu’s nose with his left and right punches in the 2nd round.

The 31-year-old Palulu quit before the start of the 3rd round.

“Palulu said he couldn't see already,” said Suarez.

It was the 5th fight for this year by Suarez.

“Praise our Lord for the victory he gave me,” said Suarez.

Suarez now has a total of 14 wins with eight knockouts while Palulu suffered his only 3rd loss against 25 wins and two draws.

Suarez recently won over veteran Carlo “The Ferocious” Magali of Bohol via unanimous decision to take the Philippine super featherweight and retain the WBA Asia super featherweight title last October 23 in Paranaque City.

The promoter is Sang Bum Kim of Cocky Buffalo Promotion.
