TEAM Mulatto Nueva Vergara bagged the first runner-up honor in the recently held PFDA Mixed Nationals 2022 on June 18 and 19 at the Bantug Fields in Bacolod City.
Mulatto lost to Sunken Pleasure of Manila via a universal point 14-15. It was a very thrilling match as Mulatto was behind at 10-14.
“Just a point na lang po, hinabol namin,” said Mulatto team owner Daisy Jane Cimafranca.
Second runner-up was Team Vicious from Manila.
“At least 15 out of the 27 players were first timers of the nationals,” said Cimafranca.
Joie Monterola was the coach of Mulatto while the team captain and spirit captain were Gerard Castor and Nelson Canedo, respectively.
World US campaigner Antonio Francisco of Mulatto was the tournament's Most Valuable Player.
