DAVAO CITY – Former WBC Asian Boxing Council Silver minimumweight champion Jonathan “Pretty Boy” Almacen of Muntinlupa and his trainer former WBA champion Joma “Koizumi”
Gamboa arrived in South Africa yesterday.
They arrived at Johannesburgere International Airport and were met by promoter Cyril Tshepo.
Almacen and Gamboa left the country after their visa problem was solved by Brico Santig, owner of Highland Boxing Gym.
The 21-year-old Almacen will fight former world champion Hekkie “The Hexecutioner” Budler of South Africa for the WBA Super International light flyweight title on May 22 at the Booyens Gym in South Africa.
