Garde is 3rd man of Taduran-Cuarto bout

DAVAO CITY – Referee Rodel Garde of President Roxas, Cotabato will be the third man in the ring in the International Boxing Federation World minimumweight championship between Pedro “Kid Pedro Heneral” Taduran Jr. (14W-2L-1D, 11KOs) of Albay and Rene Mark Cuarto (18W-2L-2D, 11KOs) of Zamboanga del Norte.

The 29 year-old Garde will officiate on Feb. 27 at the Bula Gym in Gen. Santos City.

Garde was the referee of the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council silver super bantamweight title won by Mike Plania last September 9, 2018 in Polomolok.

He also handled the vacant WBO Oriental Youth super flyweight title won by Jade Bornea last April 28, 2018 in Glan. He was also the referee in the Philippine and MinProBA title fights.

Meanwhile, the three judges will be Roel Densing of Cagayan de Oro City, Brembot Dulalas and Sabas Ponpon of Davao City.

Games and Amusement Board (GAB) Davao OIC Teng Sazon is handing the supervisory.

The bubble boxing event is being promoted by Sen. Manny Pacquiao of MP Promotions.
