DAVAO CITY -- Southpaw All "The Machine Gun" Rivera of Northern Samar is the new Philippine welterweight champion after he scored a unanimous decision over Rodel Wenceslao of Mandaue last Feb. 29 at the Lagao Gym in Gen. Santos City.
The 26-year old Rivera, who is now with Engr. Joshua Basang of MB Sports is now enjoying his 21st win against four loses.
Rivera is a former OPBF super lightweight champion when he knockout Adones Cabalquinto of Davao del Norte in the 2nd round in 2016 in Laguna.
The 26-year old Wenceslao, on the other hand suffered his 19th loss against 14 win and second draw. LITO DELOS REYES
