Flyweight Fernando Lumacad has suffered his first loss in a battle for the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council title at a shopping mall in Bangkok.
Lumacad dropped a twelve round decision to Wandee Singwancha who won the Interim WBC light flyweight title with a win over current world No. 3 and OPBF champion Juanito Rubillar on July 18, 2006.
The experienced 27 year old Singwancha improved his record to 54-8-1 with 11 knockouts while Lumacad who is from Sarangani Province dropped to 5-1 with 2 knockouts.
In his last fight Singwancha scored a unanimous six round decision over another Filipino Philip Parcon on August 22 while Lumacad won the Mindanao Professional Boxing Association title with a victory over Rey Migreno last July 20.
