CHICAGO -- After a successful staging of the 4th East Coast Balintawak Gathering: A Gathering of Masters a couple of weeks ago in Chantilly, Virginia, arnis takes center stage once again.
Dubbed as the Taboada Balintawak West Coast Training Camp, the event will be held in Seattle, Washington from October 2 to 4, 2015.
Master Rino Balinado will be among the guest presenters in this latest stick fighting offering. Balinado, 42, a loving husband a father of three children, is one of the best in the business. He earned his spurs training under the great grandmaster Arnulfo Mongcal.
A volunteer instructor at the Joint Base Lewis McChord (JBLM), a U.S. military installation in Washington, Balinado is an expert in the Necopa-Balintawak Estrima style of fighting based in Lakewood, Washignton State.
Rino has roots in Cagayan De Oro and was also a presenter in the Gathering of Masters, a historic event in which over 70 delegates witnessed the appearance of six grandmasters from six lineages of Balintawak. (HDS) .
