NBA -- Wizards lean on great Wall to beat Miami

CHICAGO -- The Washington Wizards added a 34 point second burst to a 30-point first quarter to lead big early and beat the Miami Heat, 107-86, Sunday night at the Verizon Center.

John Wall had a spectacular night leading the charge with 13 assists along with his 18 points. Rasual Butler got off the bench for 23 while Marcin Gortat was a force in the middle with 15 points and 10 boards.

Bradley Beal and Kris Humphries only contributed eight points apiece but it was enough to help the Wizards make 39 of 72 field goals (54.2 percent) and 10 of 19 triples (52 percent)

"Probably our best game, start to finish," head coach Randy Wittman told ESPN.com after Washington improved to 11-5. second place in the Eastern Conference.

Chris Bosh led the Heat with 21. Dwyane Wade finished with 20 and Marao Chalmers, 10.

The Heat, who fell to 9-8, made only 33 of 72 shots and missed 20 of 22 threes.
