Pagaduan and Ikeyama make weight for inaugural WBO atomweight championship tilt

Jessebelle Pagaduan of Buguias, Benguet Province in the Philippines and Nao Ikeyama of Sakaide, Kagawa, Japan both made weight for the first ever atomweight (102 pound) title match of the World Boxing Organization.
Pagaduan and Ikeyama both weighed in at an identical 102 pounds (46.2 kilograms) at the weigh-in done Friday in Osaka, Japan.
The two female boxers will fight for the WBO gold at the Azalea, Taisho Hall in Osaka, Japan tomorrow (Saturday) night.
Pagaduan told Philboxing.com that she is ready and is well conditioned to climb the ring tomorrow night.
The small but dangerous 29 year old Filipina, who is unbeaten in her young career will be testing the mettle of 44 year old Ikeyama amidst the cheering of the latter?s hometown fans.
They will complement another women?s championship fight tomorrow night, in the World Boxing Council?s (WBC) minimumweight (105 pounds) clash between champion, Mari Ando and challenger, Yuri Kurioki, both from Japan.
