ESPN Interviews Legends of Boxing for Predictions PhilBoxing.com Sat, 04 May 2013  Friday Night at the MGM Grand the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame had their first Inductee's thanks in large part to the hard work of CEO Rich Marotta and his team. ?A Night with Boxing Legends,? in attendance were names past and present of the inaugural induction class including Oscar De La Hoya, "The Body Snatcher" Mike McCallum, referee Joe Cortez, commentator Al Bernstein and a Living Legend 5 time trainer of the Year Freddie Roach. Showing their support were a number of people from the boxing community. That list included fighters Raul Marquez, Ana Julaton and Wayne McCullough. Commentators also participated, including Steve Farhood, Barry Tompkins, and Colonel Bob Sheridan. Jagermeister sponsored the event and presented Marotta with a check for $50,000, which will help get the non-profit organization NVBHOF off the ground. The Night belonged to the Biggest Star of the Evening Freddie Roach who was pleasantly surprised to have his award presented to him by his 28th WORLD CHAMPION our Female Fighting Pride of the Philippines Ana "The Hurricane" Julaton. Here was the touching speech given by Julaton to present the NVBHOF inductee our Coach Freddie Roach: "There are Many stories we have about the Great Freddie Roach, A Man who devotes his life to OUR SPORT. A person who cares for his fighters as if they were his Children, I remember doing the mitts with Coach for my 3 World Title Bout, In that session Freddie threw a Left Hook at me which connected, the punch had my head Ringing for DAYS! I never forgot that lesson to this Day. (crowd laughs) He treated me the same way he treated Manny and if I made a mistake, I paid for it. Freddie is a Man who deals with Life's Struggles, Inside and Outside the RING...Without any FEAR. I asked him when we were getting Ready for my Fight in Toronto "How do you deal with fighting for the WORLD TITLE in the Biggest stage?"... now at that time it was the Biggest fight of my Career, Shown Globally through Philippine TV & Historically was the First time TSN Canada (Canada's Biggest TV Network) was ever going to show Female Boxing Live Coast to Coast on CANADA DAY. Obviously I was Nervous and Coach said to me in his Freddie Roach way... "You just DO, ANA" Freddie Roach who's supported my career as a Professional Fighter has always said to us "If you choose Boxing, DEAL with IT. NO EXCUSES" I am FREDDIE's 28th WORLD CHAMPION & I AM HONORED to present the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame Award to 5 Times trainer of the YEAR and one of the Finest People I know COACH FREDDIE ROACH The crowd gave a Standing Ovation to the Living Legend. Freddie Roach gave a warm hug to his 28th WORLD CHAMPION & reiterated the words of Julaton to the Sold out Crowd. "My Fighters are my children..."
