PACQUIAO TO HELP MUDSLIDE VICTIMS

Filipino ring idol Manny Pacquiao says he will help the victims of the recent massive mudslides on the slopes of Mayon Volcano in Albay province.
The WBC International super featherweight champion said he planned to personally hand over the donations in a visit to the devastated region following his birthday celebration and his baby daughter Mary Divine Grace’s baptism on December 17 in his hometown of General Santos City.
Pacquiao apologized for not being able to visit the area right now because of several important commitments even as he personally checked out his sprawling new, multi million peso home which is nearing completion.
Pacquiao is well known for his generosity especially towards the poor people in his hometown. Following his recent smashing third round KO of legendary Mexican Erik "El Terrible" Morales, Pacquiao spent one whole day distributing rice and money to thousands who lined up at his home.
Every year on his birthday, Pacquiao also distributes rice, canned goods and noodles along with money to his less fortunate hometown folk. He is also known to assist former boxers who are disabled and poor without any fanfare.
