ROCKY FUENTES TO VIE FOR OPBF CROWN

ALA fighter Rocky Fuentes gets his chance at the OPBF flyweight crown when he takes on reigning titlist Masafumi Okubo on November 29 at the Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan.
Fuentes, who is the reigning Philippine flyweight champ, will be gunning for his first regional title against Okubo, who holds a win over Filipino Jojo Bardon.
The Okubo-Fuentes showdown takes place on the undercard of the WBC flyweight battle between reigning world champion Daisuke Naito and the hugely-popular compatriot Koki Kameda.
The 28-year-old Okubo (15-2-1, 5 KO's) took the OPBF crown last year, decisioning Korean Jin-Ki Jung and defending it thrice against Yasuto Aritomi, Bardon and Yuchi Eausamphan.
The 23-year-old Fuentes (23-6-2, 14 KO's) may not have the stellar record that other top Filipino fighters possess, but is equally dangerous owing to a punching power that is considered exceptional in the business.
