Philboxing.com has just been informed that the June 20 card originally scheduled for Juarez and then to Tijuana, Mexico topbilling Mexican legend Jorge Arce against young Filipino prospect Fernando Lumacad might end up at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on June 27.
The June 27 card already has a stellar lineup featuring WBO superbantam champ Juan Manuel Lopez against Olivier Lontchi as well as the Fernando Montiel vs Eric Morel WBO bantamweight showdown.
Arce vs Lumacad will be for the WBA International superflyweight title.
Lumacad, managed by American Boxing Academy (ABA) founder Ken Smith, is currently in Los Angeles to continue his training for the fight.
"This one-week postponement is actually good for Lumacad. He can now adjust better to the time difference," said a source.
