Araw cycling race on March 9-10

DAVAO CITY -- The Davao Pobre Biker's Association (DABOPA) will stage the 87th Araw ng Dabaw Cycling Race slated on March 9 and 10 at the Purok 1, Baracatan in Toril, Davao City.
It will be a Mountain Bike race on March 9 and a Road Bike on March 10.
“It’s gonna be an uphill challenge for the riders,” said organizer Diday Casaljay.
The categories are Boys Youth 15 Under, Junior 16-18, 19-29, 30-30, 40 above, Executive, Girls Youth 15 Under and Ladies Open.
The champion will win P3,000 while the second and third placers will pocket P2,000 and P1,000, respectively.
The 4th to 10th placers will each receive medals. The youngest and oldest biker will get P1,000 each.
“There is no criterium and it is an old venue,” said Casaljay.
